- Elimination of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) and insecticidal efficacy against new infestations with adult fleas persists for 8 weeks.
- Elimination of ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product has persistent acaricidal efficacy for up to 4 weeks against ticks.
- Elimination of biting lice (Trichodectes canis).
Can also be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD).
Part the coat between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the spot-on pipette on the skin and squeeze gently to empty its contents onto the skin, preferably at two spots, one at the base of the skull and a second 2-3cm's further back.
1 pipette of 0.67 ml per dog weighing over 2 kg and up to 10 kg bodyweight (approximately 7.5 – 15 mg/kg).
1 pipette of 1.34 ml per dog weighing over 10 kg and up to 20 kg bodyweight (7.5 – 15 mg/kg).
1 pipette of 2.68 ml per dog weighing over 20 kg and up to 40 kg bodyweight (7.5 – 15 mg/kg).
1 pipette of 4.02 ml per dog weighing over 40 kg and up to 60 kg bodyweight (7.5 15 mg/kg).
For dogs over 60 kg bodyweight, use two pipettes of 2.68 ml.
Frontline® Spot On kills fleas for up to 5 weeks in cats and approximately 2 months in dogs. It kills ticks within 48 hours for up to 1 month. The minimum recommended treatment interval is 4 weeks.
Care should be taken to avoid excessive wetting of the hair with the product since this will cause a sticky appearance of hairs at the treatment spot. However, should this occur, it will disappear within 24 hours post application.
